looking down on nyc

November 2nd, 2009 § 1

A few weeks ago I got to trek up to the top of the Empire State Building with my dear friends Mandi and Jason. I know this is quite the touristy thing to do, but seriously, if you get the opportunity to play tourist in NYC, this is the one thing you should definitely experience. Even though it was cold, rainy and overcast, it didn’t take away from the romance of the building. It may not be glorious getting up there (we ended up hiking up about 6 flights of stairs to bypass the second elevator ride), but the on-top-of-the-world view is really hard to beat. And the pigeons sure are friendly.

Thank you, ali for posting these pictures! Have I ever told you that I love the way you see the world? Oh, and the last picture made me laugh out loud. At first I thought it was incongruous with the collage… but then again, no.
