Monthly Archives: November 2009 The old mill in Tarrytown was actually our first stop, just across the street from the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. It’s still a working mill — the crew that was there (dressed in period clothing) actually demonstrated the mill, grinding flour through the large stones that turn with the flow of the damned up water. Totally...  Matt and I snuck away during the one of the only sunny days we had in New York. We took the train out to Tarrytown, site of the real Sleepy Hollow. I had hoped to get this post out before Halloween — the cemetery pictures seemed fitting. I know this is quite the touristy thing to do, but seriously, if you get the opportunity to play tourist in NYC, this is the one thing you should definitely experience.... by Ali show 1 comment |
