After that violent storm a few days ago, my gardenia bush fell over from the weight of the rain & wind so we’ve been hastily bringing the blooms inside to enjoy. I hope you’re having a lovely extended weekend… mine will be filled with family & kids, fireworks & hotdogs, short hikes and lazy afternoons…

… I married my best friend and got to celebrate Mother’s Day with Mom…
We were worried that combining the two would make for a crazy weekend, but it simply made it one of the most celebratory, cherished, sweet and thoughtful weekends of our lives… and I can’t believe it’s been a year already. The time has flown faster than any year I can remember… we filled it with so many memories… and this new year I know will hold even more. I simply can’t wait.
I am sorry for the radio silence. There was a completely freak accident last weekend that involved me injuring my hand, so typing and computer work in general has been put off until I can heal. I will be fine; thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers, thoughts and kind words (oh, and patience!)… they have made me so strong! Honestly… it’s so amazing how when you are made to slow down you realize just how everything you already needed and wanted is right in front of you. It’s pretty refreshing, and I am truly, truly blessed.
This week begins my crazy Summer schedule… lots of beautiful weddings to shoot and beautiful friends to visit… New York, Hilton Head, St. Simons, Blue Ridge, Colorado, Seattle, Canada, Louisiana, Tennessee, Marco Island… I may just need to keep my bags packed…
