I simply loved doing this shoot for the latest issue of Matchbook Mag. If you’re not familiar with Sid or Ann Mashburn and their respective clothing stores, you’re missing out on some major Southern style… it is truly infectious. (And I have to say, my husband has never looked better since having 2 of his suits tailored by Sid’s team.) The Matchbook feature is such a sweet look into how their relationship and individual brands began. You can read about it here (page 109), and see even more outtakes from the shoot on their blog here.
Beautiful photos, Ali! Ann & Sid have incredible style, and you’ve captured it perfectly.
Beautiful! Simply Stunning!
perfect ali. you are a class act!

I had the pleasure of traveling to Nashville to shoot for my friend, the lovely and incredibly talented Kate Murphy, at the historic Belle Meade Plantation. Emily and Michael designed an amazing affair with such thoughtful and personal touches: every single piece of pottery was from her mother’s personal collection; the hydrangeas were cut from her grandmother’s garden. The paper balls where all hand-crafted by Emily and her mom and were later strung into a chandelier, as well as a smaller grouping held by her flower girl in lieu of flowers. To see more of how they were put together, check out the Big Events blog - they did an amazing job coordinating their wedding.
(It’s always so fun & inspiring to shoot with Kate; not once did I pick up a digital camera during the entire evening.)
Absolutely stunning all around!!!
Love these photos!!
SO pretty! I found your work thru Matchbook. Love how you shoot!! ; )

More beautiful styling & coordination by Ginny Branch. Shot at the incredibly glam Piedmont Driving Club. Makeup and hair done by the insanely talented Mara… loving the old Hollywood style she created for Laura.
